Ongoing and History....

Phantom X Girls Who Code
We reached teenage girls working with “Girls Who Code,” an international non-profit organization that aims to close the gender gap in computer science. We organized a seminar to showcase how their skills could be applied in FTC, and ways to get more involved in FIRST robotics. Before we spoke with them, they had never heard of FIRST. After our presentation, many of them were interested in finding out more from the resources we gave them, as well as involved in FIRST.
Each week, our team works with a low-income public school in India to virtually mentor an FTC team we co-founded. Working with Soham Academy, a non-profit dedicated to improving the Indian school system, we kickstarted an FTC program that will spread to over 50+ schools by the end of this season.
Our efforts to spread robotics programs in India have been extremely rewarding, and we are so excited to see how many more teams we can start!
IMPACT: now spreading to 50+ schools!

Phantom X Brookwood Community

Our work with the Brookwood Community allowed for us to learn more about the obstacles facing adults with disabilities. The Brookwood Community is a local organization that provides housing and employment for adults with disabilities. Over 80% of adults with disabilities are unemployed, and we set out to help change this. We created custom CAD tools for the residents of the Brookwood Community to use, allowing them to work independently and earn a stable income.
Phantom X Woodlands Robotics
Throughout the Summer of 2024, our team ran FLL and FTC camps for kids as young as 6 to as old as 15. Our summer camps helped to spread FIRST and robotics to over 100 kids! Working with the next generation of engineers and scientists has helped us learn about leadership and effective teaching methods, and we are excited to see where their robotics journeys will take them.

Phantom X India Stem Foundation
Our teammates spoke with the India STEM Foundation about FIRST and FTC, along with what it means to be in robotics. Our work with them was incredible, we learned a lot from them and we taught them a lot about FIRST and robotics/STEM in general. It was an amazing experience.

Phantom X San Jacinto College

During the FTC Into the Deep 2025 season, we impacted over 50 FTC teams at the San Jacinto College Kickoff through our "Connect Award" video.
We were invited by San Jacinto to present insights and tips for understanding the Connect Award, and teaching FTC teams how to create an effective portfolio section and team plan.
Phantom X Baker Ripley
We worked with FabLab and Baker Ripley Community Centers to teach kids about circuits and programming the WeDo 2.0. We had a great time with the kids and taught them a lot about FIRST, FLL Jr., and even FTC. We hope to continue to solidify our relationship with them so that we can make a bigger impact in our community by teaching.

Phantom X Khou

We participated in a TV interview on KHOU’s TV Talk Show “Great Day Houston” which has aired since 2005. Diya discussed First Lego League (FLL) and FTC Programs to help spread the word about Robotics and FIRST. They covered core values, robot design, FIRST Programs, and competition. The feature reached over one million viewers!
Phantom X Houston Chronicle
Our team was featured in the Houston Chronicle newspaper, covering our success and how we became a team. We had a great time being interviewed and being able to share our personal experiences with everything FIRST, FTC, and STEM has to offer!
